The Newport/Priest River Rotary Club's Senior Student of the Month Awards Program

The Rotary Club's Senior Student of the Month Awards Program recognizes high school students at Newport High School, Lamanna High School, Pend Oreille River School, and House of the Lord Christian Academy. The award is given to these outstanding students based on the following criteria: for embodying and displaying admirable character traits including, but not limited to, compassion, kindness, work ethic, respect, responsibility, and volunteerism.

Students are nominated by teachers or administration staff and are given a certificate which will be awarded to the student at the school's discretion. Additionally, the students will be spotlighted in a newspaper ad in both the Miner and the River Valley Beacon which is graciously funded by our program's sponsors.

Each May, all awarded seniors, their parents, and school administration are asked to attend the annual Senior Student of the Month Celebration at the Rotary Club so that we take a minute to congratulate these students in person.
